New Student Dates & Deadlines

Below find a list of incoming student processes and the dates and deadlines on which they occur. Please be advised that missing dates and deadlines will be added to this list as they are determined.

Please note: Dates and deadlines for fall course registration will be updated throughout the summer on the Yale College Registration website and the Yale College Calendar with Pertinent Deadlines.  The website provides information to help you familiarize yourself with the registration process.

Incoming students not participating in Early Start of Yale Summer session may access Health on Track to enter vaccination record information and upload all health-related documents

If you are a new incoming Yale University student, you will be requested to electronically submit a photo for use on your Yale University Student ID Card. If a suitable photo is successfully submitted and approved by the deadline, your Student ID Card with will prepared prior to your arrival on campus.

Residential college affiliation assignments will be released. Transfer students will also be notified of their roommate, suite, and Camp Yale assignments.

Once you are assigned to a residential college you will be assigned to a first-year counselor. Your counselor lives in the same residence and will help to ease the transition to the academic, social, and cultural life of Yale College. You may also sign up for a peer liaison. Peer liaisons are upperclassmen who help connect first-year students to the wealth of support and programming initiatives based in the LGBTQ Resource Center, the University Chaplain’s Office, the Office of International Students and Scholars, the Afro-American Cultural Center, the Asian American Cultural Center, the La Casa Latino Cultural Center, North African Cultural Community (MENA), and the Native American Cultural Center.

New Student forms will open on May 4th. Look for your invitation in early May to Yale Connect in order to access them.

Family Information Card

Students may arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The Housing Portal will become available over the summer to register for a move-in appointment.
