Life at Yale

Yale College has housed “a company of scholars and a society of friends” for over 250 years. Today it is also home to one of the world’s largest research libraries, global art collections, and over one million square feet of laboratory research space.

Our community members have a wide range of talents, interests, vocations, and needs, and the university is committed to providing the services and opportunities to ensure their growth and development.

Division of Student Life

The Division of Student Life oversees the non-academic campus experience of undergraduates at Yale College. Comprised of the Offices of Student Affairs and Student Engagement, the Division offers guidance and support to students as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of campus life.

Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs assists students on matters large and small – from resolving administrative glitches to providing intervention and support to a student experiencing serious difficulties.

Student Engagement

The Office of Student Engagement offers a myriad of opportunities to engage with community – on and off campus – with programs and initiatives designed to teach active problem solving, deepen empathy, and to reveal to each undergraduate his or her own strength of character and leadership potential.
